Hmmm, that looks like would be a lot of work to do that, why not buy one of resin bodies instead? Theres one on ebay now

Don't know exactly what differences there would be, but I think starting with the late 90's Gran Prix such as the Hot Wheels, John Deere or the STP Hamilton car would be a better starting point. Interested to know what the differences would be. |

We must have been typing at the same time.
Looking at the resin you mentioned, it looks like the body is made of of pieces of both bodies, something you might want to try instead of spending $90 for the resin body.
It does look like some of Henrik's work, so it's probably not a bad deal. |

Your best bet is to use the 06-07 Monte Carlo SS as it's the better option... I used the 06-07 Monte for the Grand Prix I made years ago |

2003 was the first year of the common template cars, the Grand Prix in NASCAR trim was completed and approved first and Chevy took the Grand Prix body, massaged the nose and tail for better downforce numbers, and got it approved as the Monte Carlo. The 2003 Grand Prix was a totally different body than the Monogram kit (either version, the SnapTite Plus was more accurate for the 2000-2002 Grand Prix) and shared everything except front and rear valence, hood, and rear deck with the Monte Carlo. And the front valence isn't much different except for the big twin nostril grilles. |
