Outside of Nascar, my favorites are the black & gold JPS Lotus, Gulf GT40 and Hippie Porsche 917.
But here we will focus on Nascar. What is your favorite paint scheme?
Post a pic of the real car of a model of it.
I will start the ball rolling
So many to pick from: Coke Monte Carlo, STP Petty Charger, Wrangler Monte Carlo, Fireball's purple Galaxie?
I can only pick one, so here it is:

Always loved the clean look of this car. And, after restoring Richard Petty to his rightful ride, it delivered his third title.

I don't know how to post an image, but the Original TIDE RIDE of Darrell Waltrip in 1987 is likely my favorite paint & graphics scheme. That scheme really POPPED !!! ( It made the light meter on my camera jump up an F - Stop. ) Others worth mentioning:
Any Gatorade car
Any Hawaiian Tropic car
Wood Brothers Red & White
Any Smokey Yunick Black & Gold |

I really like the Daytona 500 version better and hope to do it soon. This is the Southern 500 version.

if we're talking favorite of all time, regardless of racing series, my hands down favorite is the Prudhomme Army FC livery

I built the paisley hippie Porsche 911ST.
As for NASCAR I liked the JD Stacy cars in all their variations, built this one.

If we are allowed to pick outside of Nascar, I would have to choose the California Chargers of John Keeling and Jerry Clayton
1970
1974
1977

K&C, always stood out.
Cruz Pedregon has/had a tribute car he ran on nostalgia circuit.
Never had a chance to see it in person, car craft Elapsed Time magazine had a spread on it a few years back, at least I think thats the magazine. |

Pierre, you can see the advantage of mixing your own paint on this beautiful model. the green wheels match perfectly to the green decals. Outstanding build as usual. I've got a laguna kit, but dont know who to do. |

You are right Mark, mixing my own colors allow that.
In the case of this model the usually perfect Powerslide decals were a challenge to apply and I ended up with splits in a few areas around wheelhouse openings.
I was able to touch it up with my green mix and save the job.
I look forward to see your first project with this method and learn from your experience. _________________ "When you arrive at a fork in the road, take it" - Yogi Berra |

Wow, you can't even see the splits your talking about. A great save for sure. I still cant decide to go with a one tone no mix job since its my first brush job or go with a two tone mix job and end up wishing I hadn't. Probably chicken out and do an all black car. |

Oh la la Mark...brush painting a black car!
If I had to do a black car I would chicken out and do a two tone! _________________ "When you arrive at a fork in the road, take it" - Yogi Berra |
