Here is the 1st of 3 AMT Modified Stockers from the 1970's
What really prompted me to but this kit was a brief article in either Car Model or Model Car & Science magazines, with tips on how to improve this kit what what was available back in those days...
And one of the tips was to use the upper hole for the metal axles to lower the stance.
Though it really cannot be seen, that article also suggested reversing the front and rear "bumper guards: Though at some point the front one got knocked off and i never replaced it.
Also, the tape across the top of the windshield some time later in ther '70's
Another little tidbit....this was one of two builds that I actually started painting kit as they were being built... _________________ Ed. K |
