Interesting video showing a miniature model V8 engine made of wood. Eyeballing the dimensions it looks like it's smaller than 1/25, maybe roughly 1/32nd (?) scale.
Skip to 5:45 in the video to see the crankshaft being driven with an electric drill so that the pistons go up and down.

He has a Youtube channel called "Generic Woodworking" which has other similar projects, including a larger scale wood model of a hot rod chassis with a working transmission, clutch, blower, and timing chains(!):

IMO, his woodworking is anything but generic! |
