I converted a metal Jada Dodge Daytona into Charging Charlie's Dow Chemical NASCAR. I had to Dremel out the wheel wells which is easier then working with plastic because it doesn't bubble gum up when it gets hot. I ground off a relocated the gas cap to the side of the car and removed the side mirror. I had all the rims wheels roll bars etc for the conversion in my parts box. The small Daytona is a Thunder jet slot car. I painted it with Testors Plum Crazy Purple with my air brush. That is the correct color for the Dow car. I had an old set of Fred Cady decals that I used for the car

EXCELLENT Work! Better-looking and more accurate than those University of Racing Diecasts, that's for sure!
Where did you get the decals for the HO scale slot car? Did you make them? |
