Is it a very dark green or black?
Thanks for your help,

John, from what I remember and from a couple of shots of the Dew car that I took in the pits after the Fall Atlanta race in '81 it was semi-gloss black inside wherever wasn't covered by unpainted aluminum panels. The passenger side door bars were covered by a bare aluminum panel. The driver side bars had a black or dark gray fabric pad over them. Also bare aluminum was used for the crush panels behind the pass. door and the panels above and around the oil tank enclosure.
It's been my experience that when in doubt about anything on Junior's cars, just go with what was most practical and you won't be far off.

I've seen photos where it was Gray or white as well. I think Daytona that year was one of them. |
