This is my first attempt at posting pics on here in years so I apologize for poor quality or anything. Dale Jr ran this Mountain Dew throwback to Darrell Waltrip's Buick at Darlington back in 2008, before the throwback weekend became a thing. The kit is the AMT 2010 COT kit with Powerslide decals. The decals are for a 1/24th scale body and the AMT is a 1/25th but the fit looks good.
The interior on these kits is disappointing and I've added to it on past builds but it's going to sit on a shelf behind glass so I couldn't find the motivation to scratch build a bunch of stuff. I added a homemade window net and lowered the stance of the car. It might be a little too low but I'd rather be there than too high. Paint is just some basic spray paint. I eyeballed the green from some old stuff I had and got it pretty close.

Excellent job, and like you said, its much better to be too low, then too high, when it comes to stance. Just make sure the tires are touching the ground and the body isn't. |
