DK: Hello again everybody and welcome to the Slinger Speedway in Wisconsin! I'm Dave Knight alongside Darrell Waltrip and it's almost time for 150 laps of action at this quarter-mile! It's the Napa 150 and Darrell, this place has a pretty rich history. What's it going to take for one of these drivers to etch their name into it.
DW: White knuckles and a lot of nerve. At a track this size, laps go by quick and you gotta take what you can get as quick as you can get it.
DK: Indeed, DW. Who's going to be first to the feast? We're about to find out. Let's go trackside!

And now, race fans, here to give the command, please welcome our grand marshal, 2003 NASCAR Cup Series champion and 8-time Slinger Nationals winner, Wisconsin's own Matt Kenseth!
MK: Drivers, start your engines!
Green Flag
DW: Boogity boogity boogity! Let's go racin'!
DK: And a little bobble by polesitter Rattlecan Dan at the green and Doozle Dorf in the Skoal Bandit Dodge sails out of turn 2 with a hearty lead. The inside groove is the place to be as Dorf plunges into turns 3 and 4. Meanwhile, Dan has fallen to 5th. A rough start as Dorf leads the opening lap of the Napa 150.
Lap 17
DK: And we've got a smoker down the back stretch. It's the Chevrolet of Tim Wallace! Smoke pours from underneath and he limps around the track.
DW: And we've got a car in the wall at the exit of 2. That's Lee Loggins. Looks like the 26 laid some oil down.
DW: Heartbreaker for both Wallace and Loggins. The track crew now going to work cleaning up those fluids and we're under caution.
Lap 46
DK: We have a tremendous battle for the lead! Keith Wallace's Ford stalks Doozle Dorf's Dodge as they pile into turns 1 and 2. We'll keep a close eye on this battle but we've got a slow car at the start/finish line. It's the 46 of JR Sealey.
DW: Man, another past champion with issues today.
DK: Indeed. We spoke earlier to U.K. Brewer, crew cheif on Tim Wallace's car. He said a broken valve brought an end to their day earlier in this event.
DW: And Dave, JR just radioed to "Farmer John" Killigrew that he heard a chatter in the left rear before a loud snap. I think he may have a broken axle in that 46 Chevy.
Lap 93
DW: That battle between Dorf and ol' Brewdog just got another dog in that fight.
DK: Defending Fantasy Cup champion Sheldon Hatterfield puts a nose under the 23 of Keith Wallace. Dorf gets forced to the high side. We're 3-wide in the 3rd corner and the top 3 gets inverted! Dorf and Hatterfield swap the 1st and 3rd spots with Wallace stuck in the middle.
DW: Stuck in the middle with you...
Lap 115
DK: And now we've got the 23 of Keith Wallace making another charge for the lead. He dives into turn 3 and ties Sheldon Hatterfield up on the outside, using the lapped car of Phil N. Blank as a pick. New leader is Keith Wallace!
White Flag
DW: One lap to go! Keith's just gotta stay smooth.
DK: Keith Wallace with a bout a straightatway advantage over the 17 of Hatterfield. He'll thunder through turns 1 and 2. No trouble as he backs it down a bit. Hatterfield's gonna draw in a little closer but it's not going to be enough. Now the 23 Ford is in turns 3 and 4. No pressure from behind and Keith Wallace is going to win the Napa 150 at Slinger Speedway!
DW: Man, it took him a while to get there but once he did, he never looked back!
1. 23 - Keith Wallace
2. 17 - Sheldon Hatterfield
3. 11 - Doozle Dorf
4. 6 - Rattlecan Dan
5. 14 - Ken Wallace
6. 27 - Amy Hilton (-2)
7. 97 - Phil N. Blank (-5)
8. 46 - JR Sealey (Out)
9. 26 - Tim Wallace (Out)
10. 96 - Lee Loggins (Out)
DK: And with that, another exciting race is in the books. For Darrell Waltrip, I'm Dave Knight. Thank you so much for joining us and we'll see you next week for the Fram 100 at Peoria Speedway!
