And another one, James. I had no idea that a Fairmont was ever used in competition. Great job on the 3d printed build. Usually these look very rough when they are attempted. Yours looks beautiful. What is Revell chrome?

Revell Chrome is a new spray paint that is supposed to simulate chrome. At over $30 a can, I haven't been brave enough to try it

The Revell chrome works well, I found some for $27, yes it’s pricey but it works. I usually give it 3weeks to dry due to it being very soft for a good while

Nice, That color really pops too! Looks like I might have to find some of that Revell chrome.

When the NASCAR Grand National Series mandated down-sized car bodies in 1981, the Ford Fairmont was not on the list of approved bodies, as The Powers That Be felt it just was not quite big enough, despite it sharing the same wheelbase and greenhouse as the approved 1981 Thunderbird & Mercury Cougar. ( Worth noting that NASCAR required full fenders that covered the top of the tires on Cup cars. ) The Fairmont did enjoy success in Late Model Sportsman and Winston West competition.

Beautiful! I always thought the Fairmont made a great looking race car. Your build is stellar.
