Yes, RIP Ken Squire. I knew that he was on death's doorstep. I've been out of pocket most of the day and just found out reading this. Sad

He was by far the best to ever do the broadcasting job that he did. He knew everything there was to know about everybody in the garage area even their hometowns. Such a wealth of knowledge but could convey it in a way that made it interesting even to a non Nascar fan.

Had the privilege of meeting Ken when I was at Petty Museum in late 80s.a true gentleman. Had a very nice racing discussion with him

Although I didn't care for his habit of giving many drivers corny nick-names; I will say that Ken SQUIER did much to propel NASCAR into the Television age. RIP Ken...
