I feel that Auscar was the natural cousin to NASCAR, with their carb V8's being used in their Touring Car series.

We did have Eurocar in the late 90's. Even using a banked oval called Rockingham in central U.K.

But our top Touring Car series used smaller injection engines, so their was no real 'want' for Eurocar.
Also, we had majority road courses being used so it just looked like another low tier tin top series. NASCAR's are oval, nothing else!

Didn't Canada have their own Nascar style league in the 90's? CASCAR i believe it was called. Are they still around?

Anyone have any pictures of the Oldsmobile Richard Petty drove over there before they raced the first time. I believe it was a tire test session.
