From my 2004 Monte Carlo.

Tyres weren't tight against the outer rim, so I used about 20 inches of masking tape wrapped around the centre ridge and making sure that most of it is facing outwards.







Then push wheels in from rear of tyre, stop the tape from peeling off.

I usually just cut that part out with my sprue cutters and it allows the tires to sit better...
