My 96 Rusty Wallace T-Bird with its mid season graphics change. The red and blue rear quarter was much reduced so that the Miller logo would be more visible.

Powerslide decals over a RAL Graphite Black aerosol, TS Camel Yellow and no clearcoat, which looks great! Different surface sheens really lifts the look of the bodyshell.

I removed the hinge mouldings and filled in panel lines, also filled the front wheel arch edges. To sharpen up their soft moulding, a small fix but really worth it.
The decals laid great but do wrinkle at their edges when drying, so need to check them constantly.
For a cleaner look, no hood Mobil decal or a lower grille decal. I do like that 'aero' style. I did add the lower Thunderbird, as none on the decal sheet.

This was painted first with a regular gloss black, but it just looked lifeless, a black blob. So using this lighter shade which really does work. It has a brown tint (with my eyes) that contrasts with the yellow numbers.
The photos don't show the difference but car looks great on the shelf. Better than other black NASCAR's I've painted in the 90's. And the wheels are even painted NATO black.

Excellent job, one of my favorites. I have a question, are the red stripes on the wheels painted or decals? Another one, if a decal where did you get them?

Can’t speak for the red stripes on the wheels, but the decals are still available from Mike’s.

Thanks all for comments, feel's good to have another car posted.

And the wheels.
The red line is with the paint, scrape and Sharpie method that is posted in this forum. Very easy fix.
