I believe the only ones were sort of simplified. Scale Auto had an article a good while back about extra detailing to make them look better. I built one, but can't remember if it even had an engine in it. I know it didn't have the back side of the roll cage. Mike's Decals has some resin update body pieces. Never really cared for those cars. Like Ken Schrader said, change the engine and some stickers on them (the real cars) and you are driving a different make.

..agree

Yeah, when I did the Mark Martin one, I had to add a few extra roll bars and windshield braces. Not a bad kit for just a shelf model though.

Ok then, getting closer.

is the "wing" spoiler available or just the spoiler?

Want to add the "wing" version to my Pennzoil collection.

If I remember correctly, it had both wing and blade option for rear spoiler.

The AMT COT was a great kit, built quite a bunch of them.

It had both spoilers. Had kits for several drivers such as Jimmy Johnson in addition to the generic one

Good luck with your search. You might try asking on the Trading Post. I haven't seen one of them anywhere in a while. Not to discourage you, just to say it might cost you.

Scale Auto April 2012 was the issue with the article about detailing these kits.

Left, if you're willing to work a little bit, I have a few of those COT kits as old built-ups. I bought a case of builts to strip down and re-do, they're workable but do require effort. I can set one aside for you if you like.
