My attempt to become somewhat of a body man on this Richie Evans Mustang II superspeedway modified he drove in 1977. I didn’t have a lot of reference material and it ran in two different number and fender looks from what I could find. I liked this one so it’s done. Old Mustang II model kit I nearly gave away, cut off the front end and made the hood, added the large fender flares, lots of putty, slapped it on the model kit modified chassis, added solder headers and exhaust pipes, and a few more odds and ends, Tamiya TS-56 paint. Waiting on a couple small 61’s decals for the front, but otherwise done – thanks for looking!

That is very well done. You must be a patient man to do all that putty and sanding!!! _________________ Dennis

Amazing job! You're right, not too many pics of that one, but you nailed it. I've been thinking about doing the droopy-nosed full-fendered Pinto that he had. |
