Really hoping Mike and Powerslide do some Bobby Labonte modified decals for the new modified kits that Salvinos/Wes's Model Cars are putting out. His Cookout #25 from last year (2022) and the #25 Cookout for 2023 look pretty sharp.

Slot-car Fever has them, but hurry as he's shutting down the business effective January 23rd |

Probably worth waiting for quality decal makers, like Powerslide, Ace, MPR, Gofer, PPP, SMP, Three Amigos, Polecat, Tom Mooty's Ol' Days, heck even Fred Cady's Ghost.
Can't hurry love and you can't rush quality. |

Mark at ACE has said that Labonte still wants Cup champion compensation for the licensing to do that sheet. |

There ain't that kind of money in the hobby any longer. When I was partner in DNL we did very little licensing fees. We'd go to a team or driver and show what kind of sales we had. 99% of the time they'd see a contract and license was more costly than a handshake deal and some product they could then sell or give away. We had the first Hendrick/Gordon license and we paid ZERO for that. Three Revell custom die cast 1/24 done up in Rainbow was our 'fee'. NOBODY is getting rich any more......DE Sr was the last one that made real money off a license deal. |
