My brother had the Coke Monte Carlo when it first came out. Seems to me like the numbers had a little bit of orange instead of Coke red. Most of the pictures of that car look orange-ish to me as well. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that?
Tgx, Tom

The original decals were HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They were not sized right, number small, sponsor GIANT!!!! and the color you recall is the white numbers bleeding badly. The decals were offset printed and just junk!! I was allowed to do the decals for the reissue after R2 asked me about the original decals.
So 'orange' was just the red bleeding through the awful decals! |
