Does anyone one know of a Petty Decal sheet that has the right font for # 41 and 42 ?
other than the Maurice Petty tribute car I haven't been able to find this elusive
number.

Thank You for any help available.

One of the Model King reissues of the 1964 Belvedere Nascar has both of those numbers on its decal sheet. Dave Van had something to do with it, so he can add some info as to which one.
Fred Cady did a sheet with 42's on it, but they are a little hard to find and the blue outline looks a little light to me.

There was a JNJ sheet #86-120 that had just Petty numbers 42 and 43 on it. The outlines and drop shadows were an extremely dark blue, almost, but not quite black.

The Paul Goldsmith Belvedere was a Model King issue.

I DID do the art work for that kit. WE HAD PLANNED on adding the '4 1 2' petty numbers to the kit as a bonus. When the kits were delivered the decal sheet was not what we sent them. They said they had to re-arrange the art to fit the sheet and 'forgot' to put the '1 -2' back on. There stroy not mine...... Smile

I don't have any way to post pictures, but I found the sheet.
Model King item 11254 date 2009 art by Dave Van across the bottom.
It has the gold 25's for the Goldsmith car on the top and across the bottom has 2 1 4, 2 sets door size and 1set for the roof. No 3's or anything for the trunk. Nice sheet.

No, Model King (Dave Burkett) buys a short run of a certain kits for private release.
He has worked with Revell, Moebius, and Round 2 over the past 20 years.
