What type of sanding method does everyone use to even out the paint where colors separate when there is no decal to cover up the color separation? Have some pending projects that i think i will need to do this with and want to know what grit sandpaper, etc everyone uses. Plus someone asked me and i figure posting it would help everyone out. _________________ ON DECK/IN THE WORKS: too many started to list...

I shoot a lot in lacquer, easier to do touch ups in my opinion. I usually use 600 or 800 grit to blend the edges in. Often clear entire car, wet sand and clear again. Afterwards I use Novis to polish it out. Since most of my stuff is Nascar, I don't try for super slick glossy paint jobs. |
