I am building the #6 Mark Martin Folgers ford and was wondering what wheels did the car have? The kit I am using is a Alan kulwicki donor and it comes with the 5 hole wheels. That doesn’t seem right. The best pic I can find looks like they are 8 hole wheels. Can anyone help?

I build almost all my kits with 8 or 9 hole wheels. I bought a whole bunch of them off a parts seller on ebay, the ones with the holes all the way through. the 5 hole ones seem to be earlier 1980's style, if I remember right. I built my 1988 MM Stroh and 1989 MM Stroh's with the 8 or 9 hole wheels, also my 1989 Rusty Wallace Kodiak Pontiac too.

I just looked up pictures of Davey Allison's 1987 Ford on the internet, they show the 8 or 9 hole wheels, but I am pretty sure the kits for that come with the 5 holes. so the kits aren't entirely accurate all the time.

I agree. It's like RM got it backwards in the mid to late 80s. 5 hole wheels in the Fords and 9 hole wheels in the GMs. I'm working on a Gant build (donor from Wrangler combo) and had to swap wheels with an Allison T-bird.

that car should have had nine holes. By that time most teams had converted over but there were a fe that still used the 5 hole wheels
