Well, another red and blue car for my collection! After getting a couple of nice photos from some board members (ComposerP and Danno) I decided a 'last Charger' build was in order.

The usual stuff: Polar Lights kit (with tweaks to make the body look closer to the raced version), Testors Grabber blue, Krylon fluorescent red-orange, decals are a combination of the kit sheet, blue pinstripes, and a large STP decal for the hood.

I was happy with the outcome, and hope it does well in the October Powerslide race! Laughing

With Mike's upcoming 1964 sheet, I've got plenty of ideas for future Petty rides. Very Happy

Looks great - maybe someday you'll be able to get a nice little Petty car collection together Laughing Maybe you should keep track like Lefty!

Brian, that thing is absolutely gorgeous! I always love a good Petty car and that is a great one. It should do very well in the October Powerslide race. In fact, I have one to post (just waiting on some good weather so I can make a pic) but now I'm not so sure; that is one of many tough acts to follow. Great work dude!

AWSUM Brian. Cool Really nice Petty Collection too. Richard Petty got His First Grand National Win Right here In Toronto Back in the fifties
at a one time only Sanctioned Nascar Race. CNE Grand Stand.

I bet you that a Scratch built Nascar Case would be awsum for that Collection.

Nice looking car. That's some collection you've got. Where did you get the 1/16 7-11 decals?

Again, thanks guys!

YesFan- I'll get some shots of the #42 for you this evening. As for the build, it's a Monogram Wheels of Fire Monte Carlo body over a stretched AMT chassis.

RacerRon- Actually, I bought the 1/16 scale 7-Eleven at a show/swap meet a couple of years back. The fellow said he had the decals sized up from the 1/25 AMT sheet and printed on vinyl. He was only asking $20 for model, case and all!

Awesome job on that PL kit!

And, your *Collection* is outstanding! Are you going to do this year's Indy 500 car?? That is one I think I will HAVE to do!
