|
|
Morning all.
Would appreciate recommendations on a currently-decent photo hosting service. Preferably free, without unnecessary entanglements (ie faceplant, etc al) Heard stories of services past that have come & gone with associated nightmares... but what's currently working well?
Not having a hosting service to post photos really limits a person's ability to participate and/or (hopefully) contribute to the conversation.
Thanks, and be well..

Been using Fotki since Photpoint stole all my photos and then demanded money. FREE sites....you get what you pay for. Fotki can be as low as $1 month if you sign up long term. |

Thanks, and your point is taken regarding "free" services. Agree it is well worth a little scratch to avoid the nonsense that comes with anything marketed to resemble "free" on the innertube.
Have noticed a few on here use Fotki. Do not like that Photobucket puts distracting watermarks on some folks' photos, but they're disqualified from consideration for multiple reasons, if they're even around anymore....
Others to consider?
Appreciate the thoughtful replies. |

Imgur is what i use. The only pain that it provides me is that i use my phone to take most pics and i ended up having to download their app to upload photos. I often then go to my desktop and post then from the website. _________________ ON DECK/IN THE WORKS: too many started to list...

I've used postimg.com for several years with no issues. It is free but free accounts are limited to how much storage they can use. That said I had several hundred pictures out there before I hit the limit. _________________ Dennis

I agree with Dennis. I use Postimage with no problems so far. Of course, they could always go the way Photoblankit went and hold your photos hostage till you pay up an exorbitant price. |

Thank you everyone for the options and comments.
I was hoping perhaps my existing OneDrive photo folder could act as a hosting server, as you can create links that can be pasted into a browser to view the pictures.....but when I put that link between the [img] bookends and hit 'preview', can't see the picture, just the text of the link.
Oh well, was worth a try I guess. Onto one of the recommended photo hosting sites.
Thanks again. |
