Decals from the Model King generic Torino, kit is the recent Isaac # 15 from Round 2. 100 percent box stock, I tweaked the roll cage and the suspension.

Thanks Dave.

A lot of people seem to have forgot all about Richie. And that's a shame.

Thanks guys. It's not a contest quality build, not a trophy winner, but I was pleased with how it came out. Like I said, it's 100 percent box stock, all I did was cut the front a-pillars off the cage and shorten them so the windshield would fit, and I used some of the extra bars in the kit to make the missing bars (Petty bar) and beef up the main hoop a tad.

On the front suspension, I drilled the axles pin holes all the way through the spindles, and I shaved the spindles down on the front and back until the track width was better and the tires would not stick out. On the rear, I glued the inner wheels on the outside of the rear wheel backs, this got the track width on the back out where it looked better and matched the front. Other than that , it's as is out of the box. I thought about taking pics and showing that on the next one but most people seem to prefer using an Amt Thunderbird Cup chassis stretched a tad.

You younger folks, remember that when these first hit the stores new back in the1970's, they were considered awesome, fiddley fit and all. I still think they are great.

You did a great job painting the lettering on the kit tires. I have tried and failed many times...
