Any idea what those would translate to in Tamiya colors?

To my eye the new Pure Blue is darn close to Wrangler Blue.

Just a note for those wanting to build the '79-'80 Osterlund Monte Carlos that Dale drove, the blue was much lighter on those cars before Wrangler came aboard full-time for '81.

Would Petty blue be a good match for the blue on the '80 Osterlund/Curb Olds?

It would be pretty close I think.

These are the matches for the late 70's Monte's and Olds that Earnhardt drove.
1975-77 Corvette Bright Yellow GM Code WA4669 - Ditzler 2756
1976-78 Cheverolet Light Blue GM Code WA4779 - Ditzler 2815

Local paint stores can mix up cans for you.

FWIW, I believe both the Osterlund cars and the Lennie Pond Pepsi cars were painted that same GM factory light blue. It's a bit lighter than Petty Blue but it's close.
