Just heard Charlie Glotzbach passed away today. He was a local boy growing up just across the river in southern Indiana. Watched him race many times on the local short tracks in late models and anything else they would let him drive. He won in both Cup and ARCA and even tried his hand in Indy Cars. One of the last of the old breed. Godspeed racer. _________________ Dennis

Sad news but he departs having left great memories behind.
Just hearing his name among the leaders in a race telecast made it more exciting. He ran with the best in some of NASCAR's greatest years. |

He was one of my favorites back in the day
In 1968 the Cotton Owens #6 (?)
The #99 Daytona with Dow sponsorship
#3(?) Monte Carlos when they 1st appeared.
If my memory serves me.......
