Don't know if there's something better, I've used mineral spirits on stuff before and been successful. Just don't rub too hard or long. _________________ |

That's good W77. I have also used Goo Gone and sticky out made by Elmers. _________________ Short Track racing....Ya gotta love it.

I found that Bestine Rubber Cement Thinner is the best at removing tape residue and does not harm the paint. |

I've always polished it off. Novus II or any similar finish polish will do fine. Just dab a fingertip size spot of old tee shirt in clean water and the then wipe it quickly around the inside of the cap off the polish bottle picking up just a TINY amount of the polish. (think smaller than a BB) Should take it right off AND cleans up after itself by wiping with a dry spot on the tee.

I found that what I thought was residue was actually the imprint of the masking tape on the paint. I had to polish it off. |
