Hello All.

I just started the 1986/87 Pontiac Grand Prix 2+2 Stock Car and so far, am really enjoying the build. Those of you who have built this kit before - is there anything I should watch out for as I proceed?

Also, I am using Powerslide decals for the first time (Eddie Bierschwale, #94 Kodak). Do these decals require any special treatment? Normally, I use Microset and Microsol with my decals.

thanks in advance!

I didn’t have any issues when i built one. And the Powerslide decals are top notch, don’t really require much assistance

Thanks for that!
With the Powerslide decals - they don't need to be cleared prior to use, correct? (like some custom printed ones)

The only issue is if you set the rear bumper flush with the trunk back panel, there will be a gap you'll need to fill on the rear quarter panels. You can mount the bumper flush to the quarter panels, but then you'll have a bit of an "overbite" with the trunk panel. I chose to fill the gap on my build.

Otherwise it's a straight forward 80's GM build.

other things are the rear bumpets should be removed if that is an issue for you. most teams removed them, may been nascar mandate i don't know, and for some reason the rollcage sits too low in the body when finished instead of being tucked up against the roof and a-pillar like it's counter parts made by monogram. don't know what happend there. obviously salvinos fiddled with something. you would have to find a way to raise the cage somehow if you want to fix it. oh also as been pointed out to me there are no trunk opening lines molded into the body.
