I guess I'll add to the other Cale Monte's on here.
Scratch built the fuel filler, front grille and headlight pieces, and spoiler. Added aftermarket hood pins and replaced the exhaust with metal tubing.
Didn't do much to the engine or drivers compt. (This is a shelf build)
This will go in a plastic case sitting on a "diorama" built up like N. Wilkesboro.
Had fun for the most part on this build. Haven't built a stock car in quite a while. Thanks for looking.

Wow, she is gorgeous. I love your color choice and the way tou opened up the fenders and set up the stance, gives it tons of attitude.
How did you finish the bumpers, they look great?
Scratch build front grille is awesome!!
Love the diorama base, it looks so real!
Great build _________________ "When you arrive at a fork in the road, take it" - Yogi Berra |

Thanks for the kind words. I stripped the bumpers with clorox (had to be patient with that) and sprayed them with Alclad. Took me a few times to get it the way I wanted. I sort of rushed on the diorama base and didn't get it "cleaned" up around the bottom like I should have but I like the track surface and wall. Used corkboard for the track surface. Now on to Tim Richmonds Lemans. _________________ |
