The Craftsman 100 at the Glen will be run on Sunday, March 28th due to track repairs following an incident during the pre race show. Stuntman Ray "Lucky" Langston attempted to jump a bus over 3 other buses. No fans were injured but a section of the front stretch was damaged.

DK: It's a beautiful Sunday afternoon here in the state of New York and it's about to get exciting as the Fantasy Cup Series comes to Watkins Glen International for the Craftsman 100. Hello again, I'm Dave Knight alongside Darrell Waltrip. Thank you for joining us again. DW, what is it going to take to get around this place?

DW: Dave, it's gonna take a lot of what I call being cautiously aggressive. It's a 41 lap race so there's not a lot of time to get the job done but there's a lot of spots where the car can get out from under you. You've gotta walk that fine line between speed and handling and whoever does that is gonna wind up in victory circle.

DK: And of course, two of this year's competitors, have been able to get it done on road courses in previous years; Hick Strutlin with wins at Circuit of the Americas and Laguna Seca in 2017 and 2018 respectively and Keith Wallace winning it last year when the series returned to Circuit of the Americas. Track repairs have been completed after yesterday's pre-race incident. Thankfully, neither Ray "Lucky" Langston nor any fans were injured. And with that, we go trackside for the opening ceremony.

Ladies and gentlemen, please rise for our national anthem.

And now with the most famous words in motorsports, give it up for our Grand Marshall, New York native and 1996 Watkins Glen winner Geoffrey Bodine.

GB: Lady and gentlemen, start your engines!

Green Flag

DW: Boogity boogity boogity! Let's go racin' at the Glen!

DK: And pole sitter Hick strutlin gets a great launch as he leads the field off into turn 1. He'll have a car length over teammate Amy Hilton. Further back we have Kenner Wallace making a move on his dad Keith. He'll make short work as Keith gets stuck out wide. Meanwhile the leader Strutlin in the 71 makes his way through turn 3 and into 4. The 3rd and 4th positions occupied by another Wallace; the 11 of Tim and the 46 of JR Sealey.

DW: And they're comin' up on the bus stop. This is always one of the most treacherous spots on the track. Looks like Wild Bill in the 72's got a run on Ol' Spud. He'll pick up a spot.

DK: And they make contact as they head into turn 9. Advantage goes to Godlewski.

DW: Moe on the side of that car just got a nice donut around his face!

DK: Hick Strutlin continues to lead the field. He makes his way through turn 10. Amy "Hollywood" Hilton keeping her deficit to only a car length. Strutlin easily getting through turn 11 and he'll lead the 1st lap here at the Glen.

Lap 13

DK: Trouble in the bus stop! TIm Wallace and JR Sealey into the wall on the exit!

DW: No caution and it looks like they're both gonna be able to drive away but both of those cars are gonna need a little bit of body work.

DK: We'll look here at the replay. Sealey has the 3rd position but gets held up by the 88 of Hilton and just gets accordioned by the 11 of Wallace.

Lap 29

DW: And look at this move by Wild Bill!

DK: He's been working the 88 hard and she went just alittle bit wide there. Bill Godlewski takes 2nd.

Lap 34

DW: And now Ol' Spud's made his way to Hollywood!

DK: Amy Hilton held off the 5 of Lee Loggins out of turn 4. She'll lock it and miss the bus stop. Loggins will inherit the 3rd spot. Hilton comes to a complete stop as per FCS rules. She'll get going again.

DW: Fortunately for Amy, she and Lee had opened a huge gap over 5th place Kenner Wallace so she'll be solidly in 4th.

White Flag

DK: White flag, one to go. Hick Strutlin has been unchallenged since the green flag. He's has over a 5 second advantage over 2nd place "Wild Bill" Godlewski. Strutlin, of course, trying to earn his 3rd overall victory in the series. Both of his previous wins came on road courses. He's got no pressure from the 72 of Godlewski.

DW: And this is the point where you start feeling EVERYTHING in that car. Every vibration feels like an earthquake.

DK: Strutlin now heading towards the bus stop. He's running a very conservative lap.

DW: This has been a clinic. He's drove a whale of a race and I think the only one who can beat Hick right now is Hick.

DK: Out of the bus stop into turn 9 his advantage falls to about 4 seconds. Godlewski's also trying to keep it as smooth as possible.

DW: And both of these guys have been attacking this track but not pushing the car over the edge.

DK: And here comes Hick Strutlin out of turn 11. He'll earn his third series win, again on a road course!

DW: Like I said, Dave. Cautiously aggressive and it paid off for ol' Hick today.

Unofficial Race Results

1. 71 - Hick Strutlin
2. 72 - Bill Godlewski
3. 5 - Lee Loggins
4. 88 - Amy Hilton
5. 19 - Kenner Wallace
6. 23 - Keith Wallace
7. 46 - JR Sealey
8. 11 - Tim Wallace

And with that, we close out today's coverage. For Darrell Waltrip, I'm Dave Knight. Thank you so much for joining us and we'll see you 2 weeks from now in Andalusia, Alabama for the Coca-Cola 100.
