Hey all… i recently moved and came across a build that i did back in the mid to late 1990s… for 20+ years the paint and decals held up very well. The top wing was disconnected, one of the front wing posts was broken off and missing, and 2 of the 3 mounting points for the left side nerf were not connected. I repaired the aforementioned items and here ya go… originally i added a lot of detail items for my level of skill at the time- PE steering wheel, oil tank, seat and LF brake from an AMT NASCAR kit, brake lines, roll bar padding, rock screen, header flanges, seat belts, fuel lines from the tank, right side head support net, and wired magneto. The wing supports are made from 89-93 Revell Thunderbird front windshield supports. Decals are from Slixx, I managed to locate a few more of these decal sheets over the last few years in case i want to build another one. Pretty sure it was painted with BSR paints, Raybestos blue and some sort of yellow if i remember.
So here ya go… diamond in the rough found, restored and in the model display bookcase.
