Looking to build the 1980 Indy 500 winning car of Johnny Rutherford. Another Pennzoil model for my Pennzoil collection.
Looking for this conversion kit
1/25 Chaparral 2K 1980 Indianapolis 500 winner conversion kit by modeler Ken Glenn
more info on this kit

Just wondering if someone out there has one to let go?

Not 100% certain, but Lance Sellers may have done that car in a multimedia kit, resin and white metal.
Might try a Google search, he used to produce those kits out of his home and would occasionally sell on eBay, haven't looked for a while, dont know if hes still casting or not. |

The Ken Glenn kit had a vac-formed body and some pretty crude resin castings for the tub, maybe metal suspension pieces. A pretty crude kit overall. I owned all the Ken Glenn kits at one time, sold tham all and glad I did! Bill Jorgensen did a somewhat better kit in resin a long time ago, Vintage Indy Resins (Rick Faeth) bought the masters and produced a short run of kits about 8-10 years ago. Calvin Sallee (Classic Racing Resins/Hobbitime/The Model Car Channel Store) is working on a new resin and metal kit of the car. A long-term project but should be worth the wait!

PS - I looked at the Worthpoint page, I never saw a KG kit with two body shells, must have been a kit he did later than mine. |
