Does anyone have good reference photos for Chevy engines in Gen 4 cars? I am particularly interested in components, where they are located, and what they are for. For example; where is the distributor coil located?
Also, what are the 3 different items on the firewall?

Dont believe it has a coil. All the ignition stuff is on the dash , I think, but I could be wrong. |

The 3 boxes on the left side of the fire wall (or bulkhead as its called now) are the fluid reservoirs for front brakes, rear brakes and clutch. The small one in the middle is Revell's poor attempt at a ignition coil and the round container on the right side is the water overflow for the cooling system. You can detail that by running a clear tube from it thru the cowl. When the engine overheats, that is where the water spouts out from. Hope this helps |

Late 03 the ignition system was moved to the dash. That was the 2 msd boxes and 2 coil packs. The arrangement was a team preferance. |
