Clifford Allison's All Pro Buick Late Model

After building dozens of Alabama Gang cars I knew I had yet to build a Clifford Allison car. I couldn't decide to build a LMS, ARCA, or Busch Grand National, car. Looking in my stash, I had a Monogram Quaker State Buick and a Revell ASA Ford Thunderbird. I could use the ASA kit for the Dillon chassis and the Monogram Buick for the body and build Clifford's All Pro Series Late Model from the late 1980's. I love late model cars and haven't built on in a while so I was an easy choice. I knew there would be a lot of cuttin' and hackin' but I looked forward to it. I also wanted to post a WIP in the Fab Shop since all the ones I did years ago got lost when Randy's crashed a few years back. So you can view the entire build in The Fab Shop.

KITS: Monogram Quaker State Buick and Revell ASA Ford Thunderbird

PAINT: Tamiya TS-86 Pure Red and TS-26 Pure White. Deatails using Model Master Metalizers, Vallejo Metal Colrs, Tamiya XF paints. Clear coat is Mr. Color GX112 UV Cut Super Gloss Clear.

DECALS: Numbers and driver names were hand made using Microsoft Word and Ink Jet decal paper sealed with Testors Decal Bondr Spray. Bobby Allison Piper Aircraft Decals Sheet (Manufacturer unknown) was used for all Piper decals. Contingencies are from the Powerslide 80's Contingency decal sheet. Powerslide Hoosier tire decals were used for the tires.

BUILD DETAILS: Please see WIP in the Fab Shop.

All the work put in I think paid off and although not perfect, she's looks good alongside my Bobby, Donnie, and Davey builds. I only wish we all would have been able to see what Clifford could have accomplished in his career had we not lost him so soon.

Thanks for looking! Questions and comments are always welcome.
