Just starting this kit and based on the box art it appears the roll cage sits a little low in the cockpit (way below the roof line). Anyone verify if this is true? _________________ Dennis

I can't recall how it sits exactly......but I worked on the restoration of the kit and it's pretty easy to check. Build up the cage outside the interior by itself. Then just sit it in the interior bucket, loose, and slide it all into the body. If it sits to low for you add small block of plastic at the bottom of the cage....make them look like weld plates! Adjust the small pad thinness until you like it.
This kit was a low budget conversion of the promo kit AMT did back in the day so it's a little crude....but can be made to look decent I think. Thx |
