Just finished a special project, one that involved people from Maine, Mexico, and New Jersey. A few weeks ago, Samuel Lopez offered his amazing artistic services for decal graphics, and I jumped at the chance to build a car I’ve always liked. I talked to Sam and pulled together some references, and commissioned the graphics. Sam put together a BEAUTIFUL set of art, and I talked to Mark from MPR decals about getting them printed.
And here they are, all done. Sam’s art and Mark’s impressive decal knowledge resulted in this Tabasco Green Sauce car being built. We’ve all heard of the Tabasco Fiasco, but this car was their best result of the 1998 season. Todd Bodine started 2nd in the spring Atlanta race and finished 10th, running up front most of the day. This is a pro-finish Pontiac kit, painted Tamiya black, with Park Green for the spoiler. Everything else is decals. This was a lot of fun to make happen, and I think we’re gonna do it again soon. |

Very nice build........this car hooked me on Green!!!!
Todd was at a fan event and they were handing out tiny bottles of Tabasco Green. I took one. Later I tried it......never like the Red....but loved the Green...to this day!!
]Is Mark selling copies??? I'd like to build myself!!! |

Cool looking scheme Steve! This build brought back memories of those Tabasco schemes. Always enjoy looking at your builds. You are a top-notch builder!
Like mack, I enjoyed the story behind the build. Good stuff and thanks for sharing.
