I just bought the 28 Hardees MC, the Legend Series.
I haven't opened it and am curious as to what color orange closest matches the decals that come with that kit. I believe there are different shades of orange, depending on which decals you use. If anyone knows, it would be a huge help. Thanks! _________________ I bleed Ford blue! |

Look at Testors Competition Orange. Might be close. _________________ life is hard, it's harder when you're stupid. John Wayne |

I used Humbrol #18 orange on all mine. Seemed to match decals perfectly. |

I have noticed that it depends on your decals. I have 3 sets for different Hardees cars from Powerslide and they are all different colors of Orange. One would think that they were the same but, I never seen the actual cars. If using the kit decals then that is even a different shade of Orange.

I thank Mike recommends one of the Tamiya oranges for his decals. I used Testors competition Orange for and older build of Cale's Lemans |

for my hardees monte i used model master go mango lacquer. matched dead on with the fred cady sheet i used. it was posted here at one point and i would post pictures again but between the site crash and photo bucket they are gone.
i know the 28/32/38 sheet was even lighter than the go mango and the hardees coke, the middle sheet is too dark because i have them. so the one on the left might be close to go mango.

The sheet on the left is the Wet Works sheet for Bobby Allison. I made a Cale 85 T Bird using the Powerslide sheet on the right. I also used TS-12 Tamiya and although it is not a perfect match, it's okay in person. In photos is rends to look more off than it is for real.
