In 1984 was the location of the battery, behind the driver seat and in front of the left rear tire?

It's a newer pic, but still correct location. This box is loosely depicted by a raised rectangle spot on the early Monogram cup kits I believe.

Thank You Tom. So now I would think that the battery cables run down the driver side roll bars some way up to the dash or to where the kill switch would be located and to the starter. ?

Someone might know better, but I'm thinking the battery cable might run over to the transmission tunnel and along it on the passenger side up to the dashboard.
