has anyone built fred lorenzens 1960 ruppert safety belts ford starliner or have an idea of the color yellow used? i was going to use what i had on hand which is MCW kellogg's yellow. i woild now like to get it closer to original. any help please, tom mooty said it was close to chrome yellow but i don't have that on hand.

Looks like a couple of blokes out there have done it.
And have a rumble through this 30 min vid of the '60 Southern 500 with Howard Cosell narrating. |

yes, i had seen that first build. the others are helpful. question is what color yellow did they use? the yellow i have is a little too bright. |

They were pretty bright. I used Chrome Yellow when I did my Lorenzen Monte Carlo which was painted to match his Rupert's car. I had originally painted it a Lemon Yellow but decided it wasn't bright enough, I saw that one in person. |

tom the yesterdays sheet says testors 2917 yellow or dupont n131 yellow. chrome yellow was adarker yellow i thought. i thought more like the last three pictures above. is testors 2917 their standard gloss yellow? and would the MCW kelloggs yellow enamel in their spray can be a good match? |
