In looking at pictures and decals sets for the Mountain Dew Buick of Waltrip, I see the hood logo was different on some cars. Was this a race difference or year difference like the logo within the green strip was 1981 and the wider logo was 1982? Just wondering as I am looking at building this car in the future. I was only 5 years old then and never really noticed until now doing some earlier research for my future model.

The narrow hood and deck lid decal was for 1981, the wider version was for 1982.
