This is my Revell Republic Star Destroyer... I painted the parts light gray (flat) ... Except for the engines... Which I painted silver. Then I painted the red areas with flart red enamel and did the windows with black marker and the superstructure blue windows with wax pastel mixed with a little water. I then assembled the main parts leaving the assembled engines separate.

Next I used black wax pastels to weather the engines and added the same blue pastel to the inside of the exhausts. I also used black pastel mixed with water for the areas at each laser cannon mounting point.















I then weathered the entire main part of the model with the black pastel/water mix and added all the minor detains down each side in various colors of paint and pastel/water combinations ...After all of this was dry I sprayed the entire main part of the model with clear flat enamel and attached the engines! And this was the result...

WIP Skylab... as I see it if it had all gone as planned!
