This is an original AMT model kit I got in a collection years ago. The car was already stripped from a disaster paint job .The car looked as if it was scraped with a screw driver. The windshield had glue down low that showed white on the clear by the windshield wipers. At the time I got the car AMT had not reissued the 1960 ford kit yet. I sanded the car with 360 grit sand paper then 400 all the way to 600 grit to get the battle scared Ford for ready for paint. The chrome on the car and many other kits I got was terrible. I heard of a business called Chrome tech . They would re chrome parts for you . So I sent this cars bumpers along with about 10 other cars to get re chromed . I was nervous as can be that they would get lost in the mail but thankfully everything came back perfect. I saw a race car with potential and had to build it. This" battle scared old ride" got saved and gets show its stuff for the group. The roof numbers are bright but don't
Show up well in the photos.
