Hello all, starting a new project, cars from the 1992 final race at Atlanta that saw RP's last race as a driver, Jeff Gordon's first race at Hendrick's, and my man, AK win the whole shooting match.

My question is, did all of the cars run with yellow lettering on the tires as I know that the radials came into their own at this race. Thanks for any help with this project. I plan to do as many cars as I can find decals for as donor bodies and many of the decals are very easy to find at Mikes.

Alan Kulwicki was one of my NASCAR Heroes. The last truly Independent owner / driver ( withOUT big money sponsorship ) to win the Cup Championship. And he beat BIG money teams to win it too !!! It's a real shame he never really had the opportunity to enjoy his time as Champion. Crying or Very sad

I was there for that race. It was every good as everyone says.

I was a huge AK fan. after the race, FORD was giving out free decals that had AK 1992 Winston Cup Champion on them. Still have them. They had them printed ahead of time.

After the race, back at the campground, there was a group of guys with a huge bonfire. Part of the crew was the FORD PR guys.they were burning all the decals they couldn't use. The Bill Elliott and Davey Allison 92 champ decals. They gave me one of each. So I have probably the only ones left over unless they kept some for themselves.
