I think the only unclaimed car is the #24 '68 Galaxie.

Maybe it would be a good time for everyone building a car to check in with their build status. This way we could get a current list and fill in the gaps as nessasary.

Yes, I have been trying to keep up with this, but I think some of the builders have actually dropped out........ they just haven't told me.

I turned the #40 Superbird over to Ray. There will probably be more available. Some enthusiasm has naturally dropped off since the project is stalled at the moment.

There is a possibility of a new venue for the diorama, but I can't give any information right now until I hear further.

I'd have a hard time handing over the #40 car anyway. Laughing

Let me know if any others free up.

Actually, Doug and I, along with Wedge, are the main builders, picking up what wasn't "claimed".

There is probably another one or two that I would give up if anyone was interested. I couple I want to build, and have partially, if not completely, finished.

I see you don't have a status on the #28. Are the decals still available? If so, I'd do that one.

I'm going the #28 since I had to redo the decals (trunk number, and some small markings are red on the sheet and have to be gold).

I'll go through the list and update it.

I'm still in for the #5 Charger 500, have the decals and car, plan on working on it when the weather gets better.

Hey Bill what builds would you "give up". I would like to do at least one.

Hey Randy! Would you like the Seifert #45 Talladega...? I'd like to keep the #21 Merc, but I'd give up the other one if someone wants it.

Sound good Marc, I actually have a couple sets of decals for that car. BTW does anyone have any reference pics (#45 Seifert tally). Also what is the build deadline.
Thanks,

Thanks,

Right now there is no *deadline*.

Pictures have been posted of the #45, I don't have any myself, that I remember.

You guys were aware if this, right?

Might not make a difference in the appearance of the car, but I thought it was something to make note of.......

Bill, I'm still on for the #30 Marcis car. Got another set of decals from WCB and got behind this winter due to a new birth in the family. My daughter had a little girl, and I mean little at 4 lb and 1/2 oz. Daughter had to stay at our house due to bedrest issues and her husband working about 5 hours away from home. Long story short, my model room is on hold for about another month then I can get back to it. The Marcis car body is almost complete and I've started on the chassis. I'll post pictures as soon as I get back to modeling. Take care and happy modeling.

UPDATE 3/30/08: there is a pretty high level of interest being shown by a group right now for a permanent site for this project. If everything woks out, it will quite awesome!

Don't want to jinx it, but we should know more, soon.

I havent even started on either car yet, dont even have kits or decals. I know decals for one are made, but have yet to even see a picture of what the second one looks like. And unfortunately, i dont have the means to buy much of anything right now due to my wife loosing her job, and having to pay for my college courses.

Someone pm'd me way back when saying they knew someone that might know how the car looked, but Ive since lost the pm's from that person, so I dont know who it was.

I'm still in on the #5 car, have the kit(s) & decals. Have to get a race grille (or two) from modelhaus yet. Going to build it curbside shelf build so can hammer it out pretty quickly when the time comes.

No confirmed word on the status of a display site yet. Several things have happened which *might* give us a place to display the diorama. Doug will have to give the information as I am not up to date on that.

Are there references/pics of this Galaxie?

Is there even a body available?

Seems obscure enough to be interesting.

In the next day or two I will drop this as a sticky. We will re-open it when info is obtained as to a display point.
