Saw a photo of one of the 74 Races at, I believe what is Pocono Raceway. It's a Carling car, Jr. Johnson build with Cale driving. Have the decals and car, was wondering what hobby color Tamiya, Testors, etc, would be close to Carling red. Also would this car be a big block 427 I'm thinking it would. Any suggestions on what 427 to use. Not a real detailed build but would like to have the correct motor. Thanks in advance. |

They ran the smallblock in Cale's car in every race after Atlanta in the spring of '74, as far as I know. They did run the 427 in a lot of Earl Ross's races with the team, the 427 was more reliable and Ross was running for Rookie of the Year while Cale was running for wins. |

Going from memory I would go with TS-8 and pure white. |

It's the all red car. Ts-8 sounds right. |
