That brings back a lot of fond memories. Davey was special to us Alabamians. You did a great job on that build. Great stuff.

Hi. I want to ask you about the 28's neon decals matte finish. You don't do a final clearcoat, so any problems with those over the years? A matte finish decal is somehow weaker than a gloss one. Easier to chip/scratch?

Am decaling my own car with these Powerslide's and deciding if to clearcoat or not.

Can’t really speak on it, as when my kits are done they go in an AMT display case and on a shelf that is out of direct sunlight. They seem to be holding up just fine.

I'd personally like to thank Vdc for bringing back this 4 year old thread and helping it get to 9000+ views Mr. Green

Well, I have been viewing your other Davey builds, so they may get a bump when I build mine👍.

Your Red Baron build has a measly 12600 views,(!) perhaps a bump will hit it to 13000. Post some new photos of it? It is a smart looking Olds.

Dunno about posting new pics of that 88, but just a heads up that ii have the following Davey builds to still complete-
1987 unsponsored
1987 Havoline
1988 Havoline
1989 Havoline
1993 Havoline

I have a few other builds i need to tend to that have already been started, but i am planning on hammering these out all in a row. Keep your eyes peeled.
