That look's like it may be the more stock-appearing car that belonged to Chrysler that is in several photos in front of PE.

Yes that's "Curious Blue", the Chrysler Engineering test car.

Not connected to the Swedish art-house film, I Am Curious Blue?

Worth pondering. With his long hair, Fu-Manchu moustaches, peace-sign headrests and Jefferson Airplane on the race car 8 track, that Petty feller was as close as it got in NASCAR to hippy culture.

I dare you to say that to him. Laughing You're right though. Just as easy to see him at a clam bake as in a race car.

Actually, Little Bud Moore and Fred Lorenzen were Nascar's first "long-haired hippy types" (and poor Cale just wanted some hair that would stay on during a race:)

I have a RR tire from the November 1970 test session when this Nichels built car was at Daytona.

There are other pics of the interior and trunk, showing the data recorder, on the 'net also.

The wheels are the same ones that were on the #88 Engineering Daytona when it ran 200.447 mph.
