This is probably the ONLY build I will dare hand-letter, and if you are familiar with the Wally Campbell Olds from the Inaugural Southern 500 you'll understand my skill is up to the task.

The Revell '50 Olds has been a pleasure to build. The most challenging thing with the kit is working with the intricate - though nicely detailed and accurate - parts.

Just finished the lettering and 'masking tape' but need to clean up some edges. Masking tape was done with acrylic artist paint (W&N Unbleached Titanium) which goes on thick, like a layer of tape. Lettering was done with brush and Koh-i-noor white ink. I am using ink since it does not permanently adhere to the lacquer finish. Any mistakes on both the acrylic 'masking tape' and the hand lettering can be easily scraped off with a toothpick, or a whittled wood stick.

Need to clean up fuel filler area.

Radio antenna is a piece of guitar string.

As with all my Darkside builds, door handles will be the LAST things to go on.
