Saw an interesting fact on the "papaya orange" McLaren color. Instead of being chosen because of a nationality or manufacturer connection, it was picked for the race cars because it would stand out in motorsports coverage on the new-fangled color t.v.s that were just making their way onto the market in significant numbers.

Zero (brand) Paints has Can Am McLaren orange #ZP-1109 in airbrush-ready
Bottles and you might give Model Master "Go Mango" orange a look. Doesn't seem to be too far off.
