It's been a long time since I was here...even had to register. I thought I'd get back to building with a past Daytona 500 winner. The Miller High Life Buick driven to victory just ahead of his son Davey. I was wondering if anyone had any good pics of the engine in this car. I was just wondering about engine color chassis color? I'd also like to make a set of headers for it since I really don't like the Monogram kit headers. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |

Iceman, except for flat blk. dash and aluminum crush panels, the interior including the bars, is red on the 500 winner so that would probably be the safe bet for the chassis.

That spoiler is really laid back flat! How did he drive it like that? I'd like to see today's drivers try that. Thanks for the pic Mack! |

Hey Iceman. Glad to see you're back. Here are some photos I hope helps you.
The interior and chassis was red (I would use Tamiya TS-49 Bright Red.) The engine looks like (and usually was) just bare metal.
I don't know if the following photo is of the real car or a show car but it should give you an idea of colors:

The next photo (sorry about the quality) shows the interior:

Another photo with Bobby in the car:

Hope this helps.

Hey Iceman, on the 500 winner you would want to close off the two small duct vents on the front valance, and the entire front grille and surrounds were satin black. Enjoy!!! _________________ life is hard, it's harder when you're stupid. John Wayne |
