I use Fotki, I know it has had a few issues over the years but I have been using it since 2001 and it isn't that expensive - $92 for five years or $1.53 per month, that gives you 100 gigabytes of storage.

To understand what a megabyte vs gigabyte etc is isn't that hard. Most of the pictures we take are going to be in the 5-15 megabyte range unless you are using a DSLR. So if you think of a bit is 1, byte as 8, then kilo byte is 1024, megabyte is 1,048,576 and gigabye is 1,073,741,824. Doing simple math and we will use the average picture size of 10 megabytes you could get roughly 100 pictures hosted for every gigabyte of data available to you.

I hope I did not get to geeky for you,

Robyn
